Prom Queen ~ I liked the idea of a decaying America where something isn't right below the surface so I took the idea of an all American prom queen and just went from there.
Tricks ~ I thought about a lost love and how she might haunt you if you're not in the right frame of mind that kind of thing.lurch.
The Beach- ~This one is like most of my poems I usually have no idea what to write until I start writing. I combined imagery that kind of gave an uneasy feel with a shark and symphony music like the perfect soundtrack to an attack and threw in Spain because it added to it.

I wish
I didn't remember her number
and something isn't right if the words don't come easy you see them in lines
at the supermarket waiting on death talking about the weather the ball game
the prom queen with her dress pulled down hamburger meat used lives the bomb
has nothing left to kill.
my mind plays tricks on me about her I see her in the hallway
and her ghost rests weary in my bed and in the grocery store she's there sorting
through the detergent and used dreams
lying on the beach with the ocean running in and out of her mind with the blood
and half her leg chewed off by a Great White with dull black hued eyes and a
symphony in Spain played in the background gentle and like it was always meant
to be.
