Fall is a time of reflection of one's life. With the changing of the seasons Mother Nature provides a calm overall feeling of peace and tranquility by showing us the beauty of her paint brush across the canvas of life.
The busy days of summer are coming to an end and it's now time to focus on one's self before heading into the busy holiday season.
I hope you find your inner peace among the words of AUTUMN'S TOUCH.
Jacqueline M. Piepenhagen
I live in Onalaska, Wisconsin with my husband and two Shih Tzu. I enjoy crafting, reading and spending time with my family. I started writing about eleven years ago and get much of my inspiration from my nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Several years ago, I took an online course in children's writing where I was published in several magazines.. This led me to branch out into poetry, non-fiction and fiction, thus starting my worldly adventure that writing is a journey, not a destination.
When I'm not writing I am working with my sightless Shih Tzu, Shah'kah. He is my constant companion and reminder that we can accomplish whatever goals we set for ourselves.
Currently, I am awaiting a publication date for my first 21st century paranormal romance, titled SWEET BLOOD.
I am now working on a special non-fictional book on how I came to be raising a blind dog. The book is titled, BLIND LEADING the BLIND. I have a current website and blog page that you can visit and post on at: www.artistofthequill.com.
Autumn's Touch!
Tranquility arrives
At the dawn of early morn
Wispy clouds cling
On the tail of Autumn's breeze
Breathe in the silence
Exhale the calm
Such beauty on this Fall day
Reflective thoughts swirl about
As leaves flutter to the ground
The aroma ever so lightly
Envelopes my senses
Peaceful silence echoes
Engulfs my spirit
My heart and soul
With the beauty on this Fall day
