I wrote 'Aware' after an episode of spiritual contemplation produced the experience of an approaching light and, subsequently, of union with that Light. A profound peacefulness and the conviction that perfect union with the Divine is the destiny of everyone without exception followed.

Frank is a retired physician whose writings tend to be of a spiritual/ inspirational/metaphysical nature. He attempts to comment on the human experience with all its beauty,its pain and its challenges. Over the last 4 years, more than 90 pieces have appeared online and/or in print.

There is no music in the world like
You for Your Song is sweet to all.
And ever. No springtime scene I’ve
ever seen can touch my heart and
make my old bones quiver with
delight like the visionary Light I
sometimes see when I think of You.
And the touch of my beloved and
mother love combined must fail to
offer a mere intimation- a mere
intimation of the warmth that fills
my very being when I put aside my
goals, put aside my stubbornness
long enough to be aware of You.

And in that fortunate moment I
feel Your luscious warm Light
pause just for an instant- ever so
respectful of the frightened
creature to whom You offer Your
Love- until my fear dissipates
enough to permit another step
toward that same creature who
belongs to You. And whom
You Love as Your own Child.

And then, finally then, when
nothing remains between us-
when my foolish protesting
has been laid aside- I feel Your
Love pour into me, pour into me
covering my last remaining doubt,
my last senseless pretense. Then
my Soul cries out “God Is”! And
my Heart, in ecstasy, whispers
         “Father”.
