Among the Criminals

A Witness by Joseph Farley

Joseph Farley
All emotions fuel poems, anger as much as love, disgust as much as desire. I have unlearned the glorified biographies of political heroes. I have witnessed the left and the right sinking their teeth into the sedated carcass of the electorate. I have watched them fight and tear at the body politic, fueled more by gluttony for power than the desire to serve the public, causative, complacent or ignorant of the pain of working people. This poem is an out take of a long primal scream.
